Andrew Mauney (see also trainer Morgana Mauney*) 

Andrew has spent his whole life staying active. Growing up in a household of three boys, he was a multi-sport athlete, eventually playing lacrosse at Miami of Ohio. After moving to NYC in 2008, he was introduced to, and fell in love with, Yoga. The form and functional movement of yoga combined with his history of weight training naturally lent itself to a functional strength training path.

Andrew began teaching TRX classes in 2015 at a boutique Upper East Side studio, The P.E. Club. In addition to strength training, he spent two and a half years as an instructor at Flywheel Sports, one of the nation’s premier indoor cycling studios. He then moved on to teaching bootcamp/circuit style classes at several other NYC studios prior to the COVID shutdown. During the shutdown, he and his wife Morgana started MauneyFIT, a virtual teaching/training platform. He is excited to continue to challenge, educate, and inspire people on their fitness journeys through GoTrayne!

This class starts by warming up the heart, lungs & mind, followed by a strength section generally using compound movement patterns to work the whole body.  We follow with Core work focusing on control, stability, balance & posture. Finally we wrap up, putting it all together in a “burn out circuit” before cooldown to leave you feeling strong and motivated (not to mention dripping in sweat)! Good for all levels!

A ramped up workout using weights, bands, and body weight movements! We squeeze all the same work from our Total Body class in a compact, high-intensity class by using various circuit training methods including, but not limited to, TABATA, EMOM, and AMRAP. Even with the accelerated pace, form and purposeful programming are still at the forefront! Fire up the heart rate, strengthen the body, and let the sweat flow!

Morgana’s Total Body is a welcoming class. We will focus on alignment and the technique behind each movement. Mixing bodyweight and weighted exercises using dumbbells, we will work the entire body. From TABATA to EMOM to Circuits, there will never be a dull moment! Great for all levels.

Let’s pulse and breathe together! This low impact total body class is inspired by ballet, Pilates and conditioning. Barre involves high reps with small weights. Toning our legs, arms and seat is the name of the game. Focusing on alignment is key to get the most out of each small movement. High reps means feeling that burn that will stick with you into tomorrow!

This Pilates inspired class involves highly focused exercises. Lifting and toning our tush while we work our arms and abs will be an ongoing theme. We will use booty bands or Therabands and small weights to help us lengthen, strengthen and tone our bodies!

Stretching and foam rolling tends to be last on people’s list, but it is the most important part of moving our bodies. This class is meant to hold people accountable for actually focusing on the recovery element of working out. This slow paced class focuses on transitioning from one stretch to the other in a mindful way as well as foam rolling specific parts of the body.
